UGC creator jobs in Dubai and the UAE are mostly paid projects, not salaried positions. A brand, an e-commerce store or an agency pays you to film short videos that it posts on its own accounts or runs as ads. Most of the work is per-video gigs and monthly retainers, and a smaller number of in-house content creator roles come with a salary. This guide covers the types of UGC work in the UAE, who hires, where the jobs are posted, what they pay in the ranges we see, what a UAE brand checks before it books you, how the Advertiser Permit applies, and a checklist for getting picked.
What counts as a UGC creator job in the UAE?
If you search "ugc jobs dubai" on a normal job board, you mostly get general listings. In October 2026 a search turned up generic pages on Bayt, GulfTalent, Indeed UAE and LinkedIn, and almost nothing labelled UGC. That is because most UGC work is not advertised as a job. It is booked as a project, through a creator roster, an agency, an application link or a direct pitch.
There are four kinds of paid UGC work in the UAE.
1. Per-video UGC gigs
A brand sends a brief, you film one to five videos, you deliver the files, and you get paid per video. The brand posts the content on its own page or runs it as an ad. This is the most common type of UGC work and the easiest one to start with.
2. Monthly retainers
A direct-to-consumer or e-commerce brand books a set number of videos every month, for example 4 to 12, at an agreed monthly fee. Retainers usually come after one or two good one-off projects. The rate per video is often a bit lower than one-off work, and in return you get steady monthly income.
3. Agency UGC pools
Many Dubai influencer and performance agencies keep a list of UGC creators they book for client campaigns. The agency handles the client, writes the brief and pays you. Agencies usually add 15 to 30% commission on top of your rate or take it out of the client budget, so ask which one it is.
4. In-house content creator roles on salary
Some brands hire a full-time content creator, social media creator or videographer to film for their own channels. These roles are posted on LinkedIn, Bayt, Indeed UAE and GulfTalent, and they come with a visa, a salary and fixed hours. They are real jobs, but there are far fewer of them than project gigs.
Who hires UGC creators in Dubai and the UAE?
The brands that book the most UGC in the UAE in the ranges we see are:
- E-commerce and DTC brands selling on their own site, Amazon.ae or Noon. They need product demos, unboxings and ad variations every month.
- Beauty, skincare and fragrance. Before-and-after, routines, texture shots and reviews. This is the largest UGC category in the Gulf.
- Food and beverage. Restaurants, cafes, delivery brands and packaged food, often around launches, Ramadan and National Day.
- Apps and fintech. Screen recordings with a talking head, showing how the app works and why someone should download it.
- Real estate and hospitality. Property walk-throughs, hotel and staycation content, mostly in English.
- Agencies booking on behalf of all of the above.
Demand is seasonal. Brands book UGC for White Friday (Amazon) and Yellow Friday (Noon) in late November, for UAE National Day on 2 December 2026, and for Ramadan 2027, which is expected around 8 February 2027. Ramadan content is usually booked in December and January, so that is when you should be pitching.
Where are UGC jobs in Dubai actually found?
Most UGC work in the UAE comes from five places. You will get more bookings if you are visible in several of them.
| Where | Type of work | What you do |
|---|---|---|
| Creator rosters and platforms | Per-video gigs, retainers | Apply once, keep your profile and portfolio current, answer brand messages |
| Brand campaign application links | Per-video gigs | Apply to the specific campaign with your rate and relevant samples |
| Agencies | Agency pools, retainers | Send your portfolio and rate card to the agency's talent or production team |
| LinkedIn, Bayt, Indeed UAE, GulfTalent | Salaried in-house roles, some freelance | Search "content creator", "social media creator" and "videographer" in Dubai |
| Direct pitching | Per-video gigs, retainers | Email or DM a brand with one sample made for its product |

Direct pitching works better than most creators expect
Pick ten UAE brands whose products you already use. Film one short video for each in the style of their ads, and send it with a one-line offer: what you make, your rate per video, and how fast you deliver. A brand can judge a finished sample in ten seconds. It cannot judge a message that says "I would love to collaborate."
What do UGC jobs in the UAE pay?
UGC pay in the GCC, in the ranges we see, sits around $100 to $600 per video, which is about AED 370 to 2,200. Beginners usually book their first deliverables at around AED 400 to 1,500. The rate goes up with experience, editing quality, Arabic, and usage rights.
| Item | Typical range |
|---|---|
| One UGC video (beginner) | AED 400 to 1,500 |
| One UGC video (experienced) | Up to about AED 2,200 |
| Extra hook variations | $25 to $75 each (about AED 90 to 275) |
| Paid-ads usage rights | +25 to 100% of the base rate |
| Arabic and English versions | +40 to 60% |
| Rush delivery | +25 to 50% |
| Raw footage | Often +25 to 50% |
| Junior in-house content role (salary) | Roughly AED 4,000 to 8,000 a month |
| Experienced in-house video or brand content role (salary) | Roughly AED 10,000 to 25,000 a month |
The salary rows come from Dubai job postings we reviewed on job boards in October 2026, many of which showed estimated rather than confirmed ranges, so treat them as indicative. For a related role, Indeed UAE's salary page for content managers showed an average of about AED 7,100 a month at the time. A full-time role gives you a visa and steady pay. Project work pays more per hour once you have several regular clients, but the income is less predictable.

What will a UAE brand ask before booking you?
A brand or agency in Dubai usually checks the same six things before it books a UGC creator. Have the answers ready in one message.
- Portfolio. Three to six videos in vertical format, with at least one in the brand's category. A link to a folder or a simple page works. Our UGC portfolio and media kit guide covers what to include.
- Rates. A per-video price, plus prices for hooks, usage rights, Arabic versions and rush delivery. Brands move faster when the rates are written down.
- Can you invoice? Most UAE companies need an invoice. You can invoice under a freelance permit (typically AED 5,750 to 15,000 a year depending on the free zone), a trade licence, or through an agency. VAT in the UAE is 5%, and registration is mandatory above AED 375,000 of taxable turnover a year. See how creators get paid in the UAE and Saudi Arabia.
- Residency. Are you based in the UAE, and which emirate? Brands that ship products or need on-location filming want someone local.
- Languages. English, Arabic, or both, and which dialect. Gulf brands often want a Khaleeji or Levantine Arabic voice for some ads and English for others.
- Turnaround and revisions. How many days from receiving the product to delivery, and how many rounds of edits are included.
Some brands also ask about your own audience, even for pure UGC. If you post brand content on your own account, they will check that your followers are real. Our guide to proving your audience is real shows how.
Do UGC creators in the UAE need an Advertiser Permit?
The UAE Media Council's Advertiser Permit has been mandatory since 1 February 2026 for anyone who publishes paid ads or promotions on their own social media accounts. There is no follower threshold. It is free for UAE citizens and residents for the first three years, then about AED 1,000 a year. Visitors can get a Visitor permit through a licensed agency for up to three months.
The permit attaches to publishing, not to filming. In practice that means:
- Pure UGC that you deliver to a brand, which the brand posts on its own accounts or runs as ads from its own page, generally does not trigger the permit for you.
- Posting a paid video on your own account does. Once you post it on your own profile, you are acting as an advertiser.
- Spark Ads on TikTok and partnership ads on Meta run through your handle. Treat these as publishing, and check with the brand, the agency or the Media Council before you agree.
Many UAE brands now ask for your permit number as part of the booking, even for UGC, because they want the option to repost or run partnership ads. Getting the permit is a small step that removes a common reason not to book you. The full rules for both countries are in our UAE influencer licence and Saudi Mawthooq guide.
How do you get picked for UGC jobs in Dubai?
Brands pick creators who make the decision easy. Use this checklist before you apply anywhere.
| Step | What to do | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Portfolio | 3 to 6 vertical videos, at least one per niche you want | Brands book from samples, not from bios |
| Hooks | Show 2 or 3 opening variations for one video | Ad buyers test hooks, so this shows you understand ads |
| Rate card | One page with per-video price and add-ons in AED | Removes back-and-forth before booking |
| Invoicing | Freelance permit, licence or agency route sorted | Many UAE companies cannot pay without an invoice |
| Permit | Advertiser Permit if you will post on your own account | Brands increasingly ask for it |
| Languages | Say clearly: English, Arabic, dialect | Bilingual creators fill more briefs |
| Turnaround | State delivery days and included revisions | Brands working to a launch date need certainty |
| Visibility | Be listed on at least one reviewed roster plus 2 agencies | Most UAE UGC work is never posted on job boards |
Small mistakes that cost bookings
- Sending only an Instagram handle with no portfolio link.
- Writing "rates depend on the project" with no starting price.
- Horizontal videos, poor sound, or no captions.
- Promising unlimited revisions, then going quiet after the second round.
- Missing the Ramadan and White Friday booking windows because you start pitching in the same month.
You do not need a big following for UGC. Brands pay for the video, not for your audience. If your account is small, read how small creators under 10k followers get brand deals. If you also want work in Saudi Arabia, see influencer and UGC jobs in Riyadh and Jeddah.
Frequently asked questions
Are there full-time UGC creator jobs in Dubai?
A few. Most UGC work in the UAE is paid per video or as a monthly retainer. Full-time roles exist under titles like content creator, social media creator and videographer, and they are posted on LinkedIn, Bayt, Indeed UAE and GulfTalent. Dubai postings we reviewed in October 2026 showed roughly AED 4,000 to 8,000 a month for junior roles and AED 10,000 to 25,000 for experienced ones, often as estimates.
How much does a UGC creator earn per video in the UAE?
In the ranges we see, about AED 370 to 2,200 per video ($100 to $600). Beginners usually start around AED 400 to 1,500. Usage rights for paid ads add 25 to 100%, Arabic and English versions add 40 to 60%, and extra hooks are usually $25 to $75 each.
Do I need a licence to do UGC in the UAE?
For pure UGC that a brand posts on its own accounts, the Advertiser Permit generally does not apply to you. If you post paid content on your own account, you need the UAE Media Council Advertiser Permit, which has been mandatory since 1 February 2026. Spark Ads and partnership ads run through your handle, so treat them as publishing and check first. To invoice companies you usually need a freelance permit, a trade licence or an agency.
Can I get UGC jobs in Dubai with a small following?
Yes. UGC is paid for the video, not for your audience, because the brand posts it. Brands judge your portfolio, your hooks, your turnaround and your rates. A small account is not a problem for UGC work.
Where should I apply for UGC jobs in the UAE first?
Start with a reviewed creator roster that brands and agencies search, then send your portfolio and rate card to two or three Dubai agencies, then pitch ten brands directly with one sample video each. Use job boards only if you want a salaried in-house role.
