A White Friday influencer marketing campaign is a creator programme that you book in September and October so that paid posts, creator codes and creator-made ads are live during the Gulf's biggest online sale, which peaks on Friday 27 November 2026. White Friday is the Gulf name for Black Friday: Souq.com introduced it in 2014, Amazon.ae and Amazon.sa kept the name, Noon runs Yellow Friday in the same window, and 11.11 comes about two weeks earlier. Below: a dated calendar from 21 September to mid December, the creator mix, code design, a worked AED 60,000 budget and the discount rules.
What is White Friday, and why book creators for it in September?
Souq.com renamed the sale in 2014 because Friday is a day of prayer and family in the region. Amazon bought Souq and kept the name. Most GCC retailers also run 11.11 (Singles Day) offers.
The sale is a window, not a day. In 2025, Amazon.ae ran its White Friday Sale from 20 to 30 November, Amazon.sa ran from 21 to 30 November with Prime early access on 20 November, and Noon ran Yellow Friday from 20 to 30 November in the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Egypt. The 2026 dates had not been announced when this post was published on 20 September 2026. Plan for a window of about 10 days that ends on the weekend of 27 to 29 November.
In the UAE, Eid Al Etihad (National Day) is a public holiday on Wednesday 2 and Thursday 3 December 2026, which gives UAE stores a second peak days after the sale ends. Saudi Arabia has no public holiday then, but government salaries are paid around the 27th of each Gregorian month, so White Friday 2026 lands on payday weekend.
Three reasons the booking has to happen now
- Creator calendars fill. Creators who sell well cap the number of sale offers they post in one week. By late October their November slots are taken.
- Rates rise in November. For peak-week posts booked late, the premium we typically see is 20 to 40%. A contract signed by early October usually locks the standard rate.
- Ad costs rise too. Every retailer bids for the same shoppers in the same two weeks, so CPMs on Meta, TikTok and Snapchat typically climb in November. Creator posts, and creator videos run as ads from the creator's handle, become relatively better value because the fee was fixed weeks earlier. The mechanics are in our guide to whitelisting, Spark Ads and partnership ads.
This post is the calendar. For margins, break-even CAC and cash on delivery, read the e-commerce influencer playbook for GCC brands first.
What does the week-by-week plan look like?
There are just under 10 weeks between 21 September and 27 November 2026.
| Week (2026) | What to do |
|---|---|
| 21 to 27 September | Set the offer, hero products and budget. Shortlist 30 to 40 creators and vet audience country and engagement. Saudi creators reply slowly around National Day on 23 September. |
| 28 September to 4 October | Send outreach with dates, deliverables and fee range. Open an application link for micro creators. Agree 12 to 20 creators in writing. |
| 5 to 11 October | Sign contracts with posting dates, usage rights and ad code duration. Send the brief, codes and tracking links. Ship product. |
| 12 to 18 October | Product arrives. UGC creators film. Apply for any discount licence or promotion permit your store needs. |
| 19 to 25 October | Approve UGC. Build ad sets with several hooks per video. Review creator outlines. |
| 26 October to 1 November | Warm-up content: product in use, no discount yet. Ask viewers to save the post, add to wishlist or join the early-access list. |
| 2 to 8 November | Test UGC ads at low budget to find winning hooks before CPMs peak. |
| 9 to 15 November | 11.11 is Wednesday 11 November. Run it as a dress rehearsal with a smaller offer: test codes, links, stock sync and delivery times. |
| 16 to 22 November | Early access for creator audiences, 24 to 48 hours before your public sale. Marketplace sales started on 20 November in 2025. |
| 23 to 29 November | Peak week. White Friday is Friday 27 November. Each creator posts one Reel or TikTok plus Stories on two or three days. Boost winners, pause weak ads. |
| 30 November to 6 December | Last-chance Stories on the final sale day. UAE stores run a National Day edit for 2 and 3 December. Expire creator codes. |
| 7 to 20 December | Retention content: how to use the product, restock reminders. Pull the delivered-order report once the return window closes. Rebook top creators for Ramadan. |
If you start late, compress the first three rows into one week and drop the warm-up, not the 11.11 rehearsal. Two tools shorten the first two weeks: the influencer outreach email templates for first contact, and an application link so micro creators come to you.
Which creators should you book for which job?
| Creator type | Job in the campaign | Judge them on |
|---|---|---|
| Deal-hunter and haul creators | Put your offer in front of people already shopping the sale | Code orders, link clicks |
| Category experts (skincare, tech, baby, home) | Explain considered purchases that need a reason beyond price | Saves, wishlist adds, orders at higher basket value |
| UGC creators | Make videos for your ad account, several hooks each, delivered by 25 October | Hook rate and CPA when run as ads |
| Snapchat creators | Reach Saudi and Kuwaiti shoppers | Code orders (Snapchat Stories carry codes better than links) |
| Micro creators with codes | Conversion. 10 to 15 of them carry most of the tracked orders | Delivered orders, CAC |
| One or two mid or macro creators | Reach and branded search, posting 16 to 24 November | Reach, profile visits, direct and search traffic lift |
Snapchat reaches about 9 in 10 eligible adults in Saudi Arabia. See Snapchat influencer marketing in Saudi Arabia for formats and pricing. For every creator, first check that most of the audience lives in a country you ship to. The method is in how to vet influencers.
How should you design the offer and the codes?
Creator codes or one sitewide code?
Use both. The sitewide sale price is for everyone. Each creator gets a personal code (NOUF15, not WF15) that adds an extra 5 to 10%, free shipping or a gift. Without that extra, shoppers have no reason to type the code and you lose the attribution.
Early access for creator audiences
Open the sale 24 to 48 hours early for people who come through a creator link or code. It costs no extra margin, gives the creator something real to announce, and moves orders ahead of the days when ads cost most.
Bundles over blanket discounts
A deep sitewide discount removes margin on products that would have sold anyway. A bundle (the hero product plus a lower-cost add-on at one price) raises basket value and gives creators one clear thing to show.
How to limit code leakage
Coupon sites republish creator codes within days, and the orders show up under a creator who did not produce them. Four settings limit it:
- Short windows. Codes valid for 3 to 7 days, not the whole month.
- Usage caps. One use per customer, and a total cap per code that you raise by hand.
- New customers only for the extra discount, where your platform supports it.
- A daily check. If a code jumps from 10 to 150 uses overnight with no new post, replace it.
Marketplace sellers and own-store brands track differently
On your own Shopify, Salla or Zid store, give every creator a code and a tracking link with UTMs, as in the tracking links and UTM guide. On Amazon and Noon you do not control the checkout, so UTMs stop at the marketplace. Use the attribution links or affiliate tags the marketplace offers sellers, where available, add marketplace coupon codes, and compare unit sales on the listing in the 72 hours after each post.
How much should a White Friday creator campaign cost?
Standard rates for one Instagram Reel, with the premium we typically see for late bookings. Full rate cards are in the influencer rates guide.
| Tier | UAE standard (AED) | UAE booked late, +20 to 40% | KSA standard (SAR) | KSA booked late, +20 to 40% |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nano | 350 to 1,500 | 420 to 2,100 | 400 to 1,500 | 480 to 2,100 |
| Micro | 1,500 to 6,000 | 1,800 to 8,400 | 1,500 to 7,000 | 1,800 to 9,800 |
| Mid | 6,000 to 25,000 | 7,200 to 35,000 | 7,000 to 30,000 | 8,400 to 42,000 |
| Macro | 25,000 to 90,000 | 30,000 to 126,000 | 30,000 to 110,000 | 36,000 to 154,000 |
UGC videos are $100 to 600 each in the GCC, plus 15 to 30% per extra hook and 30 to 100% for paid usage. VAT is 5% in the UAE and 15% in Saudi Arabia where the creator is registered.
Worked example: an AED 60,000 creator budget for a UAE store
| Line | Detail | Cost (AED) |
|---|---|---|
| Micro creators | 10 creators, one Reel plus three Story days each, average AED 3,000 | 30,000 |
| Mid-tier creator | One Reel plus Stories in the week of 16 November | 12,000 |
| UGC for ads | 6 videos at about AED 1,100 each (about $300), plus extra hooks and paid usage | 9,000 |
| Whitelisting fees | 4 creators, one platform each, about AED 550 (about $150) per 30 days | 2,200 |
| Product and shipping | 14 creators at about AED 250 landed cost each | 3,500 |
| Reserve | Extra Story days for the two best sellers in peak week | 3,300 |
| Total | Ad spend is a separate budget | 60,000 |
What this typically produces: 11 publishing creators, about 11 Reels or TikToks plus Stories, and 6 UGC videos that become 12 to 18 ad variations. Two to four of the micro creators typically bring most of the code orders. Orders depend on your product, price and margin, so work backwards: if contribution per order at sale price is AED 60, this budget needs about 1,000 orders to pay back on the first purchase, counting creator codes plus ads built on creator content.
What content works in sale season?
- Price-anchored hauls. The creator shows the product and says the normal price, the sale price and the code in the first ten seconds.
- What I am actually buying lists. Three to five items the creator picked, yours among them, still marked #ad.
- Comparisons and this-or-that. Your product next to the obvious alternative, with a clear reason to choose.
- Countdown Stories. Three days, one day, last hours, each with a link or code sticker.
- Live shopping, where it fits. A creator demonstrating and answering questions on a TikTok or Instagram Live suits beauty and fashion. Test one during 11.11 first.
- Khaleeji Arabic for Saudi and Kuwait. Captions, voiceover and on-screen text in the Gulf dialect, prices in SAR or KWD. English works for most Dubai audiences.
- Volume for ads. Ask each UGC creator for two or three hooks per video and the raw footage (typically 20 to 40% extra). Ads fatigue within days in peak week. The brief structure is in the UGC brief and pricing guide.
What rules apply to sale-season creator content in the UAE and Saudi Arabia?
- Disclosure. Every paid or gifted post carries #ad or #إعلان, Stories included.
- Creator licences. In the UAE, creators who publish paid advertising need the Advertiser Permit from the UAE Media Council, mandatory since 1 February 2026. In Saudi Arabia, publishing creators need the Mawthooq licence from the General Authority for Media Regulation. Ask for the permit number before you sign. Details are in the UAE and Saudi influencer licence guide.
- Saudi discount licence. The Saudi Ministry of Commerce requires a licence to run discounts. Businesses and online stores apply online, display the licence, and show the price before and after the discount. Shoppers can scan the licence barcode to check the offer. For your own Saudi store, apply in October. Marketplace-only sellers should ask the marketplace how its sale is licensed.
- UAE consumer protection. Federal Decree-Law No. 15 of 2020 on Consumer Protection and its executive regulation prohibit misleading advertising and misleading prices, and the law provides for fines of up to AED 2 million. Sales promotions are also regulated; in Dubai, permits come from the Department of Economy and Tourism. Check what your licensing authority requires.
- Truthful was and now prices. The was price a creator says on camera must be a price you really charged recently. Put exact prices in the brief.
- Honest delivery promises. Couriers are slower in peak week. If delivery takes five to seven days, the creator says so.
What should you measure during and after the sale?
| When | Metric | Decision it drives |
|---|---|---|
| Daily, 16 to 30 November | Orders per code, clicks and orders per tracking link | Which creators get extra Story days from the reserve |
| Daily, peak week | CPA and hook rate per ad variation | Pause weak ads by midday, move budget to the best two or three |
| Mid December | Delivered orders, new-customer share, return rate and COD refusals per creator | Final CAC per creator, bonus payments |
| End of January 2027 | Repeat purchase rate of customers acquired in the sale | Whether sale-season customers are worth the discount next year |
Sale shoppers often return more and repurchase less than full-price customers, so check January as well as November. The full model is in the influencer marketing ROI framework.
Frequently asked questions
When is White Friday 2026?
White Friday 2026 is Friday 27 November 2026, the same day as Black Friday. The sales run longer than one day: in 2025 Amazon.ae and Noon both ran from 20 to 30 November. The 2026 sale dates had not been announced at the time of writing, so plan for about 10 days ending on the weekend of 27 to 29 November.
When should a brand book creators for White Friday?
Shortlist in the last week of September and sign contracts by 11 October. That leaves time to ship product, film UGC, test ads and use 11.11 as a rehearsal. Bookings made in November typically cost 20 to 40% more in the ranges we see, and the creators who sell best are usually taken.
How much do influencers charge during White Friday?
Standard UAE rates for one Instagram Reel are AED 1,500 to 6,000 for a micro creator and AED 6,000 to 25,000 for a mid-tier creator. In Saudi Arabia the same tiers are SAR 1,500 to 7,000 and SAR 7,000 to 30,000. For peak-week posts booked late, expect a premium of 20 to 40% in the ranges we see. Brands that contract by early October usually pay the standard rate.
Do I need a licence to run a White Friday discount in Saudi Arabia?
If you discount on your own store in Saudi Arabia, yes. The Saudi Ministry of Commerce requires a discount licence, which businesses and online stores apply for online, and the store must show the price before and after the discount. If you sell only through a marketplace, ask the marketplace how its sale event is licensed.
