A Ramadan UGC ads creative pack is the set of short creator videos, hook variants and Arabic and English cuts a brand orders before Ramadan so its TikTok, Meta and Snapchat ads can change with each phase of the month. This guide covers the Ramadan 2027 ad calendar phase by phase, which UGC formats fit each phase, 10 hook and script templates with Arabic dialect notes, tone rules, how many variants to order, the booking timeline, a budget table in USD, AED and SAR, usage rights and Spark or partnership code timing, and how to measure the results. For influencer posts and posting times, see our Ramadan 2027 influencer marketing playbook.
When is Ramadan 2027 and what are the ad phases?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to start on or around Monday 8 February 2027, based on astronomical calculations reported by The National, Gulf News and Khaleej Times in September and October 2026. Eid Al Fitr is expected on 9 or 10 March 2027, depending on whether the month runs 29 or 30 days. Both dates depend on moon sighting and are only confirmed the evening before, and some countries may start a day later than others. Build your plan so every phase can shift by one day.
| Phase | Expected dates (2027, hedged) | Ad job | Creative focus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Pre-Ramadan | About 18 Jan to 7 Feb | Stock-up and preparation | Pantry, home, gifting lists, early offers |
| First 10 days | About 8 to 17 Feb | Routine and habit | Iftar and suhoor routines, how-to, product in daily use |
| Middle 10 days | About 18 to 27 Feb | Consideration and gatherings | Hosting, family visits, comparisons, reviews |
| Last 10 nights | About 28 Feb to 8 Mar | Eid shopping and giving | Gift guides, outfits, last-order dates, charity tie-ins |
| Eid Al Fitr | About 9 to 12 Mar | Celebration and thank you | Greetings, family moments, post-Eid offers |
Saudi Founding Day on 22 February 2027 falls inside the middle ten days, so Saudi-targeted ads may need a short Founding Day cut as well.
Which UGC formats work in each Ramadan phase?
One creator can shoot several phases in one session if the brief lists every phase up front.
Pre-Ramadan: preparation formats
- Ramadan prep haul: creator unpacks an order and shows what they bought for the month.
- Checklist video: on-screen list of what to sort before Ramadan, with your product as one item.
First 10 days: routine formats
- Suhoor or iftar routine: a day-in-the-life sequence filmed at the right time of evening or pre-dawn.
- How-to demo: product used in a real Ramadan task, such as preparing iftar, hydration or skincare after long days.
- Problem and fix: one common Ramadan problem (tiredness, late nights, short cooking time) and how the product helps, with no medical claims.
Middle 10 days: gathering and proof formats
- Hosting setup: table, home or ghabga preparation with the product in frame.
- Honest review: a creator who has used the product for two weeks says what they liked and what they did not.
Last 10 nights: Eid shopping formats
- Gift guide: three to five gift ideas by budget, with price on screen.
- Eid outfit or look: modest styling, prepared in advance and filmed as a get-ready sequence.
- Last-order reminder: a short video with the delivery cut-off date, easy to re-edit if the date changes.
Eid Al Fitr: greeting formats
- Eid greeting: a warm, short message from the creator, with the brand in a small role.
- Post-Eid offer: a clear offer for the days after Eid, when many people are still on holiday.
Our UGC ads guide for TikTok and Meta covers general ad structure, lengths and aspect ratios that apply all year.
What hook and script templates can you give creators?
The hook is the first one to three seconds, and it does most of the work when people scroll fast after iftar. Give creators these templates and let them say the lines in their own words.
- Pre-Ramadan, checklist. English: Three things I sort out every year before Ramadan starts. Arabic note: in Khaleeji, keep it conversational and list-based; in Egyptian Arabic, a lighter, joking tone about last-minute preparation usually works.
- Pre-Ramadan, haul. English: I did my whole Ramadan shop in one order, here is what came. Arabic note: for Saudi audiences, use a Saudi voice and Saudi wording for groceries.
- First 10 days, suhoor. English: This is what I eat at suhoor so I am not tired by noon. Arabic note: avoid MSA, it reads like a TV advert; Khaleeji for UAE and Saudi targeting.
- First 10 days, iftar shortcut. English: Iftar in 20 minutes when you get home late. Arabic note: Egyptian Arabic suits cooking content well and is widely understood across the region, but Saudi viewers often respond better to a local voice.
- First 10 days, problem and fix. English: If your skin looks tired in Ramadan, this is what changed for me. Arabic note: keep claims cosmetic only; check the pharmacy and supplements rules before any health angle.
- Middle 10 days, hosting. English: We are hosting 12 people tonight, this is how I set the table. Arabic note: in Khaleeji, mention ghabga for the Gulf audience; in Egyptian Arabic, family gathering language is warmer and more informal.
- Middle 10 days, honest review. English: I have used this for two weeks of Ramadan, here is my honest take. Arabic note: honest reviews carry well in both dialects; let the creator say one real downside.
- Last 10 nights, gift guide. English: Eid gifts under 200 dirhams that do not look cheap. Arabic note: say the currency of the target market (dirham, riyal, pound) and film a separate price card for each.
- Last 10 nights, cut-off. English: If you want this before Eid, order by this date. Arabic note: record the line without the date spoken so the date can sit on screen and be re-edited if moon sighting moves Eid.
- Eid, greeting. English: Eid Mubarak from my family to yours, here is what we are opening this year. Arabic note: use the greeting most natural to the creator; Khaleeji and Egyptian greetings differ slightly, and both are fine for their own audiences.
Our guide to Khaleeji, Egyptian and Levantine content explains which dialect to use for which market in more detail.
What tone rules should Ramadan UGC ads follow?
These are conventions we see brands follow. Some are cultural expectations rather than laws and vary by market, so check with your local team or the creator.
- Modest styling: modest clothing, no suggestive scenes, no romantic content between couples.
- Eating and drinking on camera: many brands avoid showing people eating or drinking in scenes set during daylight fasting hours, and schedule food-heavy ads for after iftar. This is a cultural convention, not a single rule across the GCC, but it is the safer default.
- Correct timing in the scene: iftar scenes should look like sunset, suhoor scenes like pre-dawn.
- Family framing: show family, friends and hosting more than solo consumption. Generosity and sharing fit the month.
- Respect for worship: do not use prayer, the Quran or mosques as props for a product. Do not joke about fasting itself.
- Selling tone: keep offers clear and calm. Pushy countdowns read worse in the first two phases than in the last ten nights.
How many UGC variants should you order for Ramadan, and why?
Order more variants than you would for a normal month. Ramadan is about 30 days with five phases, ad competition rises across the GCC, and the same audience sees your ads many times in the evening. Creative fatigue, when an ad's click and conversion rates fall because people have seen it too often, sets in faster. In the ranges we see, a Ramadan ad often needs replacing within 7 to 14 days at steady spend.
A simple way to plan the count:
- Concepts: 2 to 4 concepts per phase you plan to run. Most brands run three or four phases, not all five.
- Hooks: 3 hook variants per concept. Changing only the first seconds is the cheapest way to fight fatigue.
- Languages: an Arabic and an English cut for any concept running in the UAE, where audiences are mixed. Arabic first for Saudi Arabia.
- Creators: at least 4 to 6 different creators across the pack, so a viewer does not see the same face in every ad.
Three phases with three concepts, three hooks and two languages gives 54 ad variants from 9 base videos. Most variants are edits, not new shoots. A smaller brand can start with 4 to 6 base videos and 15 to 25 variants, then spend on the ones that hold up in the first week.
When should brands book Ramadan 2027 UGC creators?
Book early. Filming during Ramadan itself is hard: creators keep shorter days, many are booked by bigger brands, and you need iftar and Eid scenes ready before the dates arrive. UAE creators are also busy with Dubai Shopping Festival in December and January. Our Dubai Shopping Festival influencer plan covers that overlap.
| When | Step | Output |
|---|---|---|
| November 2026 | Write the brief by phase, set budget, pick markets and languages | One brief with all phases and hook templates |
| Late November to mid December | Shortlist, contact and contract creators; agree usage rights | Signed contracts, confirmed shoot dates |
| Mid December to early January | Ship products, creators shoot all phases in one or two sessions | Raw footage and first cuts |
| By mid January 2027 | Final delivery, revisions, Arabic and English versions | Approved ad files, captions, price cards |
| Late January 2027 | Request Spark and partnership codes, upload ads, set naming | Ads ready in Ads Manager, codes active |
| About 8 February 2027 | Launch first-ten-days ads, swap per phase | Live ads, weekly fatigue checks |
If you are booking in late December or January, expect rush fees of 25 to 50% in the ranges we see, and fewer creators with free dates.
How much does a Ramadan UGC creative pack cost?
Ramadan UGC uses the normal GCC rate bands; the add-ons matter more because you need more variants. Currency figures use the fixed pegs of 1 USD to 3.6725 AED and 3.75 SAR.
| Line item | Typical range | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Base UGC video | $100 to 600 (AED about 370 to 2,200; SAR about 375 to 2,250) | Per video, one creator, one language |
| Extra hook variant | $25 to 75 each | New first seconds on the same video |
| Arabic and English versions | Plus 40 to 60% | Higher for a native Saudi voice |
| Paid ads usage rights | Plus 25 to 100% | Depends on length of use and platforms |
| Raw footage | Often plus 25 to 50% | Useful for re-editing cut-off dates |
| Rush delivery | Plus 25 to 50% | Booking after mid December |
| Agency commission | 15 to 30% | Only if booking through an agency |
Worked example: a mid-size GCC pack
Six creators, two base videos each at $250, gives 12 videos for $3,000. Two extra hooks per video at $50 adds 24 hooks for $1,200. Arabic versions of six videos at plus 50% adds $750. Paid usage rights at plus 50% on the base videos adds $1,500. The total is about $6,450, which is about AED 23,700 or SAR 24,200, before ad spend and any agency fee. Our UGC brief and pricing guide and UAE UGC rates break the bands down further.
How should you handle usage rights and Spark or partnership codes?
Write usage rights into the contract before the shoot, not after the ads perform. State the platforms, whether the video runs from your account or the creator's, and the end date. For Ramadan, set the end date after Eid, for example end of March 2027, so post-Eid offers are covered.
Code timing is where Ramadan plans often break:
- TikTok Spark codes can be set for 7, 30, 60 or 365 days. A 30-day code requested in late January expires before Eid. Ask for 60-day codes, requested in the last week of January, so they cover the whole month and Eid.
- Meta partnership ad codes have no official fixed duration, so set the permission period in the contract and ask the creator not to remove access before the end date.
- Creator handle and permits: Spark and partnership ads run through the creator's own handle, so treat them as the creator publishing. In the UAE that may bring the Advertiser Permit into scope, and in Saudi Arabia, Mawthooq. Pure UGC posted only from your brand account generally does not. Check the current rules for each creator before launch.
Our whitelisting, Spark Ads and partnership ads guide explains the setup step by step.
How do you measure Ramadan UGC ads?
- Name every ad by phase, creator, concept, hook and language, for example P2_creatorA_suhoor_hook2_AR. You can then compare hooks and dialects across creators.
- Use one tracking link per creator with UTM parameters for source, campaign and content, so site sales can be matched to each creator even when ads run from your account.
- Track by phase, not only by month, because each phase has a different job.
- Watch fatigue weekly: rising cost per result and falling click rate at the same spend are the usual signs to swap hooks.
Our tracking links and UTM guide shows how to set the parameters.
Frequently asked questions
When does Ramadan 2027 start, and when should Ramadan ads go live?
Ramadan 2027 is expected to start around 8 February 2027 and Eid Al Fitr around 9 or 10 March 2027, depending on moon sighting. Pre-Ramadan ads usually go live in the second half of January.
How many UGC videos does a brand need for Ramadan?
A common plan is 2 to 4 concepts for each phase you run, 3 hook variants per concept, and Arabic and English cuts where needed. Smaller brands can start with 4 to 6 base videos and 15 to 25 variants, then spend more on what works in the first week.
Can UGC ads show people eating during Ramadan?
Many brands avoid showing eating or drinking in daylight scenes during fasting hours and run food-heavy ads after iftar. It is a cultural convention, not one fixed GCC rule.
Which Spark code length should I request for Ramadan?
Request 60-day TikTok Spark codes in the last week of January so they cover the full month and Eid. A 30-day code requested in late January expires before Eid. Meta partnership codes have no fixed duration, so set the end date in the contract.
How much does a Ramadan UGC pack cost in the GCC?
Base UGC videos typically cost $100 to 600 each, with extra hooks at $25 to 75, Arabic and English versions at plus 40 to 60%, and paid usage rights at plus 25 to 100%.
